Spam and Asiago Cheese on a Bagel
Food for Real Guys by Crew 21 – Miner Problems
This receipt is suited for the man with the SPAM and little time on his hands.
It’s quick to make and tastes really great.

Ingredients:
2 thick or thin slices Hormel Oven Roasted Turkey SPAM or
2 thick or thin slices Hormel Hickory Smoked SPAM.
2 - 4 to four ounces of Asiago cheese slices depending
On how many calories you want to add to your waistline.
Note: You may have to buy a wedge of cheese and slice it yourself.
½ teaspoon Emeril’s Original Essence.

Instructions:
Cut bagel in half. Place a thick or thin slice of selected SPAM on each bagel half.
Place one or two ounces of Asiago cheese to cover the SPAM.
Sprinkle ¼ teaspoon Emeril’s Original Essence (called Baming the Spam) on top of the cheese.
Place bagels in toaster oven or broiler until cheese begins to bubble.

For an easy cleanup serve on your favorite paper plate.

Tom Doppke's Spam Recipe

Hungarian SPAM
½ stick Butter
Mushrooms, 4 oz, sliced
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
3 medium potatoes, shredded
1 can sauerkraut (16 oz) drained& rinsed
½ C milk
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
1 ½ C dry white wine
2 Tbs paprika
1/8 tsp caraway seed
1 lb crumbled, crisp bacon
1 can Span (12oz), sliced into 8-10 slices [2 per serving]
Garnish-sliced colored pepper rings, parsley, etc.

Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Cook mushrooms & onions until soft & lightly browned. Add potatoes and cook, uncovered for 10 minutes. Add sauerkraut, milk, salt & pepper. Cook over medium heat until sauerkraut is lightly browned, stirring occasionally (about 10 minutes). Add wine, paprika & caraway seed. Lay Spam slices on top of mixture. Cook covered for 10 minutes, uncover & cook about 10-15 minutes longer or until mixture is no longer soupy. Remove Spam slices to side. Plate mixture and add bacon crumbles to top. Arrange Spam slices And garnish.
Serves 4-5.
