HHBrotherhood Central Bios:

Andrew ''Head Hard Hat'' Smith, Founder of the Hard Hat Brotherhood Andrew T. Smith   (aka Andy, the Head Hard Hat)

Andy is the main front guy of the international organization The Hard Hat Brotherhood.

In April of 2004 he co-founded the Michigan based HHBrotherhood out of self-defense after his wife Char became a Queen in the Red Hat Society, an organization for woman to have fun and friendship. Char’s new adventure had begun to take over their house and their lives and Andy finally gave up and took her suggestion to start a similar organization for men. Ironically, many of the Brotherhood members are husbands of Red Hat ladies.

Andy's primary focus is to help men get together on a regular basis and bring back the once common practice of a guy's night out. Andy has come to realize that we now live in an age where we can be contacted by anyone at anytime and anywhere. This hi-tech society usually leaves us stressed out and we forget the importance of real quality human interaction. Andy has benefited from his personal experiences with the members of the Hard Hat Brotherhood and wishes to spread that information to other men as well.

The Head Hard Hat currently resides in Dexter, Michigan with his wife Char and daughter Amanda. Andy and Char are currently contributing writers for Michigan Magazine and Menstuff.org an internet web site for men. When he is not working on the HHBrotherhood web site or other Brotherhood duties he works as a Senior QA Engineer for a business process software company.

Andy enjoys fishing (note the theme to his lime green hard hat), corresponding with all of the HHBrotherhood members around the world, computer gaming and spending time with his family.
